RoxFC 175 Posted August 22, 2013 I felt awful the first 3 days...My catheter was in when I woke up from surgery... I had very bad nausea for a little over two days..bad reaction to the anesthesia and pain meds. When they took away my dilaudid pain pump and gave me Toradol, I began to feel better. Hang in there! The first few days are the hardest. 1 Dee White reacted to this
Heyher 581 Posted August 22, 2013 You made the right decision. It's rough for the first few days but it does get better. Take your pain meds and walk as much as possible. That helps work out the gas and prevents blood clots. By the end of week 1 I was off pain meds. You will be surprised at how fast you recover. But if you feel like the pain is too much or something is truly wrong be persistent. Heyher 581 Posted August 22, 2013 Also make sure you stay on top of nausea meds. If they haven't given you anything for it ask. No need to suffer or be a hero. 1 Dee White reacted to this
