I was sleeved 8/16 and since I came home Sunday 8/18 both right and left top calves have been falling asleep at night when I'm laying down. Sharp pains on both top halves.... Arts137 1,811 Posted August 22, 2013 hmmmm, listen I am not a doctor. That said, the lower extremities are 'serviced' by the nerves coming out of the spine, so it's not nerve related. HOWEVER, clots are possible, and calf/leg pain is a symptom. Pay attention, if the pain gets worse or if you start a fever call MD immediately. AND tell your surgeon at follow-up. Mine did this for almost 3 weeks. They thought was a clot and and tests done and was all clear. They said it could've just been a side effect from the anesthesia.
