muhsi1 19 Posted August 21, 2013 Hi All I have had a good run of the first month and lost 15kg or just over 30lbs. I am terrified that my restriction will not last. I know this is silly but I think the fact that once the swelling goes down in the sleeve, what you can eat is still only a little but considerably more than before. Can anyone share their experience on the topic. My mind tells me that my capacity is gone forever and only 15-20% left but my fear makes me paranoid. Am I just a basket case or is this a general concern? Could guys that are further out let me know how they felt and are feeling now. This truly is an exiting journey! Arts137 1,811 Posted August 21, 2013 You will be able to eat more, but always less than before. THEN the issue is what do you eat. You can eat chips, and candy and junk all day long and "defeat" the sleeve. You can eat Protein and veggies and win the race! 2 Ms skinniness and TwinsMama reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted August 21, 2013 You will still have restriction later on. You might go to the Veteran's forum and read the posting there. That will give you a lot of information to prepare for maintenance.... Stop worrying about all this stuff and eat healthy and the majority of your diet high Protein with veggies... Sit back and enjoy the ride, this is the time......... Any questions please feel free to PM me....I'm almost 2 years post op....
