bussy37 35 Posted August 20, 2013 I am exactly two months post-op and haven't lost a pound in three weeks. I had a very successful first five weeks losing 50 lbs. But since the introduction of semi-solid and solid food my scale has fluctuated between 381-384. My nut has set me on a diet of 600-650 calories a day with 100 grams of Protein (at least half from liquid protein) 20 grams of carbs and 10 grams of fat. I work out with a trainer three times a week and bicycle two more days. I have lost several inches over all while gaining four inches in my legs due to the workouts. I follow this diet explicitly. I know many of us experience stalls, but this is getting a bit much. Any one experience a stall of this nature? Does anyone have ideas for jump starting my metabolism? rebecca_dsu 241 Posted August 20, 2013 "shake it up...." I think your nutritionist is nuts to tell you to stay at 600 calories when you are working out that much. How about this... why don't you up your calories by 200 on days you work out for the next week and see what happens? What do you have to lose?...oh yeah, some fat PS...how's your Water intake? Getting in plenty of fluids? If not, up that too!
bussy37 35 Posted August 20, 2013 Thanks for the idea. I get in a minimum of 100 oz of liquids, at least 60 oz of which is Water.< /p> 1 rebecca_dsu reacted to this
sarsar 824 Posted August 20, 2013 Hang in there, the weight loss will start up again. My first stall was 5.5 weeks!
bussy37 35 Posted August 20, 2013 Wow! I'll be bouncing of the walls if it lasts that long.
musiclover 61 Posted August 21, 2013 I have stalled for a month and I'm 13 weeks out then the next two weeks I dropped a total of 6.5lbs, our bodies are strange!
bussy37 35 Posted August 21, 2013 I hope my strange body decides to join the crowd and start letting go of this excess poundage. BTW, did you do anything different to start shedding the weight again?
musiclover 61 Posted August 21, 2013 No not really. I had been on holiday for some oft stall
musiclover 61 Posted August 21, 2013 Oops hadn't finished I meant to say that 2 weeks of my month stall was because I was on holiday and struggled with my eatin while out the county but as soon as I got home I did find I could control things more so the weightloss started again. I am definitely someone who can stall then lose constantly it's not ideal but it's how my body wants to do it.
