wcn1970 239 Posted August 20, 2013 Goodness, I can go days without even noticing how or what I am eating and then wham, the restriction is intense and that knot in my stomach feeling is there again. Not Complaining as I am glad it is still there but man I didn't enjoy that feeling the first several months. I still get a kick out if eating a yogurt cup and knowing my stomach can't/won't hold another bite. 1 TwinsMama reacted to this
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 20, 2013 I find comfort in my restriction too. It sucks on those days when it feels one bite is one too many. So I feel you about the knot in the chest/tummy. I hope my restriction remains this way at least until goal. I need all the help I can get.
wcn1970 239 Posted August 20, 2013 I hope it stays for the rest if my life in some form or another. I know living like this will get harder and harder as time goes by and this feeling will keep me in it! 1 TwinsMama reacted to this
Olivia23 68 Posted August 20, 2013 Mine feels like it's gone already. I'm about 8 weeks and I can eat a lot more than I should. If course is not only Protein so that is my fault. The food I eat always had Protein in it so I think I should feel some restriction but every day it's less. I'm going to go back to protein only first then veggies and hope it resets my eating habits. Had anyone else had this issue? Say like I can eat a whole hot dog with bun chili etc. but it does take me a while to eat it. If I was just too eat the hot dog by itself would I feel better restriction? I'm really worried here. I didn't want to go on a low carb diet or any diet that's the reason why I had this surgery because I cannot stick to a diet. neither can most of us on here that's why we got the surgery to help us not to eat too much. How much time are you giving yourself to eat? Any more than 15-20 minutes is too much.. At that point you're grazing.. Cut down on your eating times and you'll be ok 1 TwinsMama reacted to this

soocalchic 1,087 Posted August 21, 2013 i was told to make my meals last 30 min. Every doctor is different having a f time limit is optimal that way you're not grazing all day long 1 TwinsMama reacted to this
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 21, 2013 I too was told 30 minutes. However I was told if I get hungry in an hour or 2 I can take another 30 and try to finish my iniital meal. But that is only with at the most 3 meals and 2-3 Snacks (which I admit I never do the snacks). I've found after 30 minutes of eating I am generally full until the next meal. If I do get hungry it is usually because my meal didn't pack enough of a Protein punch.
