Confused about Pre-op diet

Okay I have been following 3 shakes plus a lean Protein and veggie dinner... With an occasional sugar free Jello or fat free Greek yogurt. I think I am doing well I loss 20 lbs. Tomorrow I will be one week away from surgery 8/27. Surgeon says keep with the same diet... My nut says to go on all liquid. Any thoughts?

Do what you surgeon says! And tell your NUT that you are inclined to do what the surgeon wants because he/she is the one doing the surgery. You really only need to do "liquids-only" the day before surgery; that's what my surgeon had me do. Congrats on the 20lb loss, that's what I lost before surgery; amost made me wonder if I needed the surgery or not, the answer was, "yes!"

I agree with ScottsGirl- do what the doctor says, not the NUT. I had two days of Clear Liquids right before surgery, so every surgeon is different, so listen to yours!

Agree with the above. Had the same advice from my surgeon. You will have lots of liquids only time after the surgery.....

I also am being sleeved on the 27th. My Doctor just has me going on an all liquid diet on the day before, no other restrictions. It all depends on the doctors way of doing things.
