You look beautiful, and I agree with the much younger comments, too. You & I are almost identical in our pace...my surgery was on June 19, I'm down 34 lbs since surgery, 53 lbs from highest weight just before preop diet. I can't always see the difference in the mirror, but photos definitely help. Congrats to you on great progress!

Wow! We really are right on the money with our progress. I hadn't realized how much weight it was until I found that picture that somehow did not end up deleted. I always deleted the unflattering pictures, which was most of the time. I didn't realize I was that big. I never felt that big. In the mirror I saw something else and refused to face reality. I always felt confident and walked with pride. I still feel confident and walk with pride, but through a healthier and happier me!

Congrats in your weight loss and progress! I wish you the best my fellow June sleeve sister!!!

I am definitely a "slow" loser' date=' but I am VERY HAPPY with my weight loss! 33 pounds down since June 18th, and about 52 pounds from highest weight. I eat clean, healthy food 95% of the time (cheat day is on Sunday); one hour of cardio 5-6 days a week; weight lift 2 days a week (I want to do more, but difficult with schedule), divided by upper body and lower body, heavy weight/low reps, both isolation and compound lifts.

I LOVE my sleeve, LOVE the restrictions, and I especially LOVE that when I do occasionally slip the bad stuff, I'm full after 3-4 bites!

(Picture is of my highest weight and of me today, 8 weeks 5 days post-op)[/quote']

Wait, did you find the fountain of youth as well. You look amazing!

Curious how you are doing? I remember being impressed by your weight loss and pics when I first signed on here. You said you were a slow loser but 30 something lbs in 2 months is awesome. Where are you at now; if you don't mind my asking? I am finally scheduled for jan 27 and very curious about people's experiences.

:)

I'm doing very well, thank you! I am 6 1/2 months out, weighing in at 165 pounds. That's 82 pounds down from my highest weight, and about 65 pounds from surgery weight. Actually I went shopping today (or yesterday since it's 3 AM, lol!) and I bought a size 8 dress!!! So, I think I'm doing fabulous!

I'm excited for you! Good luck with your upcoming surgery. Follow your surgeons instructions as best as you can post op. Remember that your tummy will be swollen and healing, but any hardship you endure post-op quickly passes! It'll be over before you know it and you'll be a thinner, healthier you in no time! The hardest part for me was getting the fluids down, but those sf Popsicles saved my life! Again, good luck!!!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
