TcsSleeveJourney 16 Posted August 18, 2013 I'm a lil scared about the scope. I go Tuesday to set the appt. I have heard horror stories. I know all of my Dr''s have cleared me for the Sleeve but I'm wondering if they find something that they shouldn't would they stop surgery? I guess I don't wanna know I've come this far for them to cancel it. Anyone know of a reason why? Anyone know? I know I have reflux and I have a small hernia I think.. vsginkc 117 Posted August 18, 2013 Just thought I'd let you know that, for me, the scope was absolutely no big deal. I was worried about it too and honestly the worrying was the worst part. Once you get there, they put you to sleep and BOOM it's over with. The chances of them finding something that would delay your surgery are very slim. Keep the faith - it's all good! 1 TcsSleeveJourney reacted to this
ShariM735 189 Posted August 18, 2013 They can tell if you have a hernia or anything else that needs to be repaired while they're in there. It's pretty routine so don't worry. Sent from my iPhone using VST 1 TcsSleeveJourney reacted to this
TooFluffy 32 Posted August 19, 2013 The scope is a piece of cake! After mine, the doctor said I had some inflammation in the lining of my stomach, due to some medication. I no longer take that medication. My friend had polyps on her stomach lining, which the doctor removed. The test is going to make sure your stomach is healthy before surgery, and if not, they will fix whatever the problem is so your surgery can go on as planned. No worries!
