Maybe you should take a nap. In my case, I took an afternoon nap daily for the first 4-5 days, and then i don't know how/why, but I was just zinging with energy after that. If you read the posts here, everyone says two things. a) the first few days are a total b**ch and B) it gets better. So hang in there, and since you started on the weekend, take advantage of it to rest and nap.

Yeah, you can do it! Drink broth with salt. It will help and give you some energy.

Good luck on your journey. It's going to be amazing!

Your body will die without salt. Society had made salt a bad thing, but you can't live without it. My doctor encouraged drinking broth with salt. The sweetness of the Protein Shakes can get to you after awhile.

You can also get a high Protein chicken Soup mx from Unjury. You might want to order that . You're going to be on liquids for awhile.

I feel do unprepared

Read lots and lots. I systematically read every thread on the first page of every forum here, and some of them, I read more than that. You have to prepare yourself. All the resources are here. At first I asked questions, and then I realized most of my questions had been patiently answered by helpful people over and over. They'd also answered questions I hadn't yet thought to ask in other threads. I learn so much on this forum daily, it's very empowering.

You'll do fine :)

I am day two too! I absolutely agree today has been more difficult than yesterday. I am fairly certain I read another post, are you 4 Protein Shakes a day? Mine is a little more forgiving: 3 Protein shakes, 5 oz of meat, 2 C raw veggies and 1 C cooked veggies (split over two meals) but I have struggled! Is your surgery day the 27th?

Surgery day is 26th and I am allowed just 3 shakes and 1 frozen entree between 300-400 cals

I started yesterday and from fri to today scale says I lost 5 lbs, probably because I'm barley getting g 1000 cals

I hope the rest if days are more like the first day! The first day was great! Them I hit today :/

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
