Tv22120 19 Posted August 18, 2013 Does anyone know if its safe to drink NyQuil? I drank DayQuil and got an upset stomache but am not sure if it was because of the medicine or just another symptom.

crowsnestmama 240 Posted August 19, 2013 You need to get something that doesn't have sugar or alcohol. Try a diabetic approved cold medicine.
cindymg 629 Posted August 19, 2013 You know the saying about a cold, right? Ignore it and it will go away in 7 days, or take a bunch of cold medicines and it will get better in a week, A cold is a virus. All you can do is treat the symptoms. If it is a headache, take Tylenol. If you are congested take a decongestant. I used to invest in tons of cold medicines and then had side effects from the medicines -- in addition to the misery of the cold. For me simpler is better. Finally, take TONS of Vitamins. I double my multi Vitamin, take Vit D and E, Biotin, Calcium, Magnesium and Fish Oil. I find I don't catch nearly the colds that I used to. And when I do get a cold, it's a 3-4 day problem. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon. 1 Lai84 reacted to this
Jason_in_Texas 9 Posted August 19, 2013 I was told benedryl was OK and the pills are really easy to swallow (plus they make me sleepy which isn't a bad thing when I'm recovering from surgery anyway)
