Triple H 13 Posted August 24, 2013 Does anyone know if or when beer is allowed? I'm almost 5 weeks out and I dnt plan on having one anytime soon, but is there a certain time it's allowed? Bonfire season is coming up soon and I just wanna know I can have one if I want one. Hey
Triple H 13 Posted August 24, 2013 Hey girl! I feel you. My surgeon told me no alcohol for 6 months but seems it's because of calories rather than safety. I'm 7 weeks out and I've tried wine, beer and liquor (I've told y'all I'm a rule breaker....but I'm 100% honest with my support group and medical team) and beer was by far the worst. I mean two drinks and I was hurting.... thik it's the carbonation. Wine and liquor I did fine with but I'm VERY careful about the amount and I drink extra Water. Good luck! 1 jenni9579 reacted to this

jenni9579 18 Posted August 24, 2013 Thank you soo much. Now at least I have a window lol. You can't have a bonfire and no beer. It's un-American 1 Triple H reacted to this
jenni9579 18 Posted August 24, 2013 I hear so many different things. I gave up soda before surgery (7/24) and I dnt really miss it. Well, maybe the fizz a little. I'm sure at some point our new tummy could handle it. I can't see not ever having carbonation ever again? But what do I know. I'm still getting used to things. Good luck on your surgery. You will do fine
ElyQuint 446 Posted August 24, 2013 My doc said the carbonation causes stomach stretching gas. Hence, no more carbonation ever. Ima miss seltzer. 1 Triple H reacted to this
