saudisleeve 21 Posted August 17, 2013 I was just wondering if anyone else gets pains in the legs and hips. The pain is deep. Not sure if it is related to my weight loss?
Kellyj574 30 Posted August 17, 2013 Is the pain related to exercise or anything? Or just coming and going throughout the day? I get pains deep in my hips when I take a big hike or run too much, but usually throughout the day it's fine, just sore when I work them too much. I figured that was just my joints punishing me for being unhappily overweight for so many years! Stretching is seriously a miracle! Do it everyday! I have to do it twice a day because my muscles are too tense. But it really helps me! Good luck to you! 1 saudisleeve reacted to this

soocalchic 1,087 Posted August 17, 2013 I'm seeing a chiropractor for adjustments on my spine and hips. I also get a deep hip pain that's not related to any muscles. Since I've dropped a significant amount of weight it's my skeleton adjusting to how everything moves now. Weird huh
JennyBeth 127 Posted August 17, 2013 I also get achy pains in my hips. I assume it's my body adjusting to not carrying around as much weight.
saudisleeve 21 Posted August 18, 2013 Thanks everyone. I too am off for a check up today but I think it is just because I am not carrying around all that weight. Unfortunately there are no chiropractors here In Jeddah so will have to wait until I go home to Australia for an adjustment. I will try more stretching. It cannot hurt. As for the exercise, yes it is worse after I have been very active but even quiet days it still hurts. I am not complaining I would not swap this for anything just wondered if anyone else experienced it. Thank you.
Jiggly Puff 53 Posted August 18, 2013 Wow! I thought it was just me! I normally do not have any pain issues. UNTIL I've been walking around, out and about for hours. Then I get these dull, deep pains in my hips and legs. My 72 year old mother, on oxygen can out shop me for hours!!! And she has a cane! LOL I'm in my 30's and that should not be happening! I've never had these pains before and I never tired out this quickly either. It makes sense though since we're eating fewer calories and our bodies are trying to adjust to carrying around less weight too. Thank you for sharing everyone. I always learn something new here. saudisleeve 21 Posted August 18, 2013 Ok just saw my doctor (who has had the sleeve done and is about two years out so can actually relate) and he said that I need to do more leg exercises and build the muscles up to support the new me. Even though I am not carrying the same weight my muscles need to be strengthened and to try and work on that and see how it goes. He said he had a similar thing with his lower back but it took a while before he could strengthen it. Good luck everyone. Oh and by the way it's my right hip too lol
