13 months post op with 15-18 pounds left

Recommended Posts

So... Long time no post. Hope everyone is great! I would love opinions. I started out at 250 CW: 165-168 (I fluctuate) of course I know that it gets harder with the less you have to lose, I want to know what u all did or if u changed things to get those last few pounds off. I've had liquid days and I really watch my carbs ( 20-40 net daily) I get in my fluids, I run around in a restaurant 6 days a week and try to workout 3-5 days a week. 8-12 cups of Water a day is my usual intake. Thanks!

Sounds interesting, is it working for u?

as you can see in my states, I lost 83 pounds, then began to regain.... 22 pounds. I was close to my goal, but I never got there. I then started trying some different eating strategies, and found other vets that were having the same problems as I was, regain, not achieving goal, and difficulty losing regain. We talked about this and other problems that come with some age with the sleeve. A member of our group heard about the 5:2, and we all tried it to see how it worked. I have lost 11pounds since June 11th. I went on vacation twice, gained a little and it came right off when I went back to plan. I am currently 6 pounds from my post WLS low, and am 12 pounds from goal. I believe I can get there this time... and have a plan for maintenance I think I can live with.

Take a look at the video that started this whole movement and see what you think. We do not recomment it to people who are less than a year out from surgery, but you seem like you are in the same place others of us on here were at as well.

Eat-Fast-Live http://video.pbs.org/program/michael-mosley/ Best of luck!

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
