linda305 173 Posted August 15, 2013 Does the surgeon give you a date first the submit your information to the insurance company or the other way around? I've seen where people post their surgery date two months before their done with insurance requirements. Please explain. Thanks
pjsmith222 15 Posted August 15, 2013 With me, the doctors office first found out what requirements my insurance asked for. I had to go through a 6 month process. Once the process was complete the doctor then submitted everything I had done in the 6 months and they scheduled my surgery. I am scheduled for 9/16/13. I'm sure everyones doctor and insurance works different. I would ask your doctor how it works, they could best answer.
SuzyB 182 Posted August 15, 2013 The office I am using gives you a date the first day you meet with the surgeon. In my case it was also the day of the seminar.
RebecaSparkles 247 Posted August 15, 2013 I have to complete insurance requirements & 6 months of visits. Get approved by board at insurance before I can even meet a surgeon. At first surgeon visit they give you the date usually 2-3 weeks from then or longer if u desire to push it. allons-y
CCRNonherway 78 Posted August 15, 2013 I got the surgery date only after I was approved by my insurance.
Angie!! 24 Posted August 15, 2013 We planned a tentative date when I first met my surgeon. It was only after my prerequisites and tests were completed that they confirmed the date and scheduled the time.
