Just curious if anyone has had this issue. I'm post op 6 months now and only lost for the first 2 months. I didn't have very much I needed to lose but dont know why I haven't lost in months!! Im feeling discouraged and dont know if something is wrong. In those 2 months I only lost 22 pounds. Is or has anyone gone through this and what is your typical diet???

I'm 6 months out too...I've been stalled for months :( I thought I was the only one. I am so discouraged at this point. I've even tried going back to liquids for a bit. Still the same so I feel your pain !

Have you been exercising? I'll be 6 months out in a few days, and have had great results, but I attribute that to a rigorous workout schedule. Don't get discouraged, but try exercising more. It has to work!

Thank you all for replying! I'm going to speak with a nutritionist from my place of surgery and see what she says. I dont know if Im over eating or undereating. The question seems easy to ask myself but I dont know what is normal with eating!!

Does anyone eat just a small amount of something but in 30 min or so is hungry again??

What is your typical daily caloric intake? Do you exercise?

Maybe you need to change things up a bit to jump start your weightloss. I know that your body gets "comfortable" at a certain set point. Sometimes you need to confuse it to get things started again. Some of the vets are doing the 5:2 diet, but I believe that for sleevers more than a year out.

I was stalling more and more so I started the 5daypouchtest.com I was 204lbs for like 2 weeks then after my theist was over I went to 199lbs Onerdland. Yay

But it mostly cut my craving for Sliders like popcorn, cashews, and Protein from fast foods. I learned to eat better and not like I'm already in maintenance. I've been eating like that for a few months. Lol

Then afterwards I guess that diet put me into ketosis because I lost faster afterwards.

Even you can re examine what you eat look for slider foods and just go back to basics.

If your BMI is really a 27, you are definately at the point where your gonna have to work for it!!!!!! That is a dream BMI for most of us. I can understand your want to loose just a bit more though. I agree going back to basics, shakes and lean protien and increase workout schedule and intensity should help you. Everytime I start stalling even just a bit I do this and the scales start moving again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
