brittbaby 13 Posted August 14, 2013 I was sleeved on August 1st, everything is going well. Weight is coming off and everything. But I have one concern. When I do simple tasks such as cleaning the kitchen (at a slow pace) I get short winded. One day the room started spinning. I knew immediately that if I didn't sit down I was going to pass out. I was standing in line at the store yesterday and I was starting to feel like I couldn't breath but I was still breathing normally. I'm very active and this is not normal at all to me. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice?

Macy6 356 Posted August 14, 2013 Are you having any pain on deep inspirations? Make sure you are getting those deep breaths in.
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted August 14, 2013 Are you getting all your Protein and Water in? You could also be low in potassium which will do that. You should probably call your doctor's office and ask what could be causing this.
AmyInOrlando 348 Posted August 14, 2013 I've had the same problem. I've become extremely short of breath with minimal exertion. I was having chest pain when I'd take a deep breath, and feeling extremely weak. Yesterday was better and I was able to do a lot of walking. Today I feel a little tired. I was hoping I'd feel more energetic everyday, but that's not the case. I didn't even have to take a nap yesterday, but I feel one coming on today and I haven't even done anything yet. My Doc did say that the chest discomfort was due to the hiatal hernia repair and not the sleeve. My surgery was also on Aug. 1st.
brittbaby 13 Posted August 14, 2013 Yes, I am a good breather and I always get my Fluid in. My doctor wants to take a closer look at my labs. I got in tomorrow morning for blood work. I hope its nothing too too serious.
