Just lately my body seems to have changed....I am smaller on the top and I have small legs...I have a big spare tire around my middle that seems to look worse since I lost some weight......All of a sudden my clothes are falling off me...and my stomach is going further down which is making things much harder to fit....

I wear Spanx when I go out and find myself hiking my pants up all the time but they are okay around the stomach area...Same with shirts.....Really loose at the top and fitting snuggling on the tire.....I look very funny I think...

When I was fatter at least I was smooth...I get anxious over the clothes issue. Seems I am just renting them. Then in a few weeks I send them back.....Oh dear me!

I'm experiencing this. Plus styles that were once my go-to now don't flatter my new shape...unless I wear lots of undergarments to recreate my former shape, which in this heat...HOT.

Don't have much to offer but understanding. Hopefully someone will be able to give some advice soon.

Count me in too!! I just got rid of a ton of clothes... All mine are either too tight, too big, too long, or too short!! :P

I am evaluating which of my pieces is worth altering to avoid a huge wardrobe investment until I reach goal. It was said to me I could lose one size per month, but to save $ for undergarments, not clothes. So I pulled out my sewing machine and will start with the easiest alterations in my opinion : pants and slacks. I'll let you know how it goes.

Wow! I wish I had your talent! I should take a sewing class.

I have so many different sizes in my closet I'm trying to use what I have. I also don't mind baggy shirts, but I hate baggy and loose pants.

I came in to work today with a bag full of (new and gently worn) clothes from my coworker. She had RnY earlier this year and is passing along clothes so I don't have to buy. I love her so much for this!

Such a great surprise and much needed.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
