BodyMedia Fit Core

Recommended Posts

Anybody else out there using the BodyMedia Core armband? I have some questions & haven't been able to find the answers on the web. For example, how do you adjust the 'Calories Consumed' section to below 1000?

My bodymedia (link) should be here in a couple of days :) Sorry I'm not able to answer your question and I'm mostly purchasing it to use with mfp.

**UPDATE**

So it doesn't look like there's a way to adjust the calories. But even so, I really like the BodyMedia vs the FitBit. I get so much more data, and WAY more accurate than I did with the FitBit! Definitely worth it, considering I paid about the same for both.

I've heard there's a new BodyMedia coming out this Fall - hoping it is as small as the Core but syncs with my phone. That is the biggest drawback in my opinion. I didn't go with the Link because it was larger than the Core, but I do wish I could see the data on my phone instead of having to hook up to my laptop everyday. I bought the display that goes with the Core, but have found that it's just one more thing to 'put on' everyday, so I've stopped using it. My iPhone is always with me, so that would be really convenient.

All in all, happy with the purchase & would recommend it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
