neoflasher 19 Posted August 12, 2013 I was taken into op room at 7:30am. Before I knew it I was in my room and it was 11am. It has been a lot better than I expected. I am walking around like normal. At a slower pace of course. Only issue I had was that they had to use a cathiter to drain me after surgery. After that I have been urinating fine. My surgeon is Dr Wayne Weiss. My surgery was at Good Sumaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. Recommend them both. 7 gamergirl, NiQi Lewin, Gonnabehot63 and 4 others reacted to this

I felt a false sense of "I FEEL OK" and overdid it a few times. Allow your body to rest & heal. Good luck! 1 aumum reacted to this

cejiogu 182 Posted August 16, 2013 Great! Just remember to get the pain merat home just in case. Is not fun to have pain at 3am and have to try and find 24 hour pharmacy. Also the first few weeks you are home you start to do more...can lead to pain. You had surgery keep that in mind. Also will take a few weeks to get back energy level. Gets better as you work back o more regular food. Hang in there. Not trying to push drugs.. I am an RN so I do this for a living, trying to control pain especially in my dept labor and delivery ! neoflasher 19 Posted August 16, 2013 I know its too soon but I jumped on the scale just to see and it gave me a result of 10.5 lbs less than my weight right before going in for surgery. That was just 4 days ago. 1 ejsfanatic reacted to this

neoflasher 19 Posted August 16, 2013 Congrats! I am post op. Only 25 days left. I am a little nervous about the pain after the surgery but I know I will be okay. Thank you for your confidence building post. You will be fine. I was expecting the worst to be honest and I have only had minor gas pain. This morning I did 5 min on the eliptical which I decided to stop since I don't want to push it. I do strongly recommend to listen to your Doctor and follow instructions to a T. I was on a full liquid diet since midnight 8/10 and stopped all liquids at 8/11 midnight. I have also followed my phase 0 diet to a T. I think that is also a big reason to why I have had no issues thus far. Don't get me wrong on Sunday prior to surgery my family had some insane looking Pasta and I was sooo tempted to downing a plate or two of that thinking "last meal" but the reward in the long run is worth so much more. I just hope that each day continues as it has and I stay disciplined and on point. Temptations will not stop. We just must learn to overcome them. Good luck
