TES 858 Posted August 13, 2013 Yes I leave it whole....just get them good and oily with EVOO, I think 375 for 15-20 minutes, depending on how crispy you want them. I like them crispy....they come out tasting like green French fries. When I don't want to heat up the oven, I cook asparagus or green Beans in a really hot cast Iron pan with a little grapeseed oil (any high hot flash point oil will do). Comes out all crispy like the oven and doesn't heat up the house. 1 Butterthebean reacted to this
swizzly 901 Posted August 14, 2013 I do the same pan frying technique with several vegetables, esp halved Brussels sprouts or asparagus. I use ghee tho, yummy and good for you!! I <3 fat lol. 1 gamergirl reacted to this
lsereno 2,525 Posted August 14, 2013 Me too. I also like zucchini done this way too . I cut it into thick planks and super hot pan so it's browns outside and softens inside. If its not hot and I have more time, I do all the veggies in the oven like butter. Lynda 1 Fiddleman reacted to this
