Is it to good to be true. I have not had any complications or been tired at all. I feel like it is too good to be true. At seven days post op I'm getting in 50 ounces of Water daily and about 55 grams of Protein daily totaling about 300 calories. I am NOT tired at all throughout the day. I just wonder if it is going to catch up with me.

I had originally planned to take two weeks off of work. But now that I feel great I'm going to go back to work after 1 week off.

Conrats on your good recovery I am on day 5, I also have not had any complications, really a fairly easy recovery but I am noticing I get fatigued or tired quickly. I get that low bloodsugar feeling even light headed. I unfortunately have to go back to work monday (day 7)so I am going to push myself today and tomorrow and see how I do. I also have gotten almost 60gm of Protein and fluids. If you have the time off I would take it, that way there is no question about your stamina. My work is part on my feet and part desk. But since I am the only one who does my job I will be going back to a potential sh*t storm I think!!!

Lucky dog. I had a slower, more painful recovery. My lapband was easy peasy 4 yrs ago compared to the sleeve. I'm now 3 1/2 weeks out and feeling 100%. it took about 2 weeks to not wake up feeling like I was hit by a bus.

Count your blessings! Good luck!

My job is easy! I have a couch in office if need to take a break but I can go at my own speed and rest if I need to.

Holy cow you guys, that's great. I'm 3.5 weeks post-op and still feeling a lot of pain in my abdomin. I was just thinking how hard it would be if I'd had to go back to work after 2 weeks!

Good on ya, and may as well go back to work if you're feeling that good. Just be sure to take it slow! :)

Me too! If I were not a teacher and would have had to take time off I would have taken three weeks. I felt way better after a week but had no energy....

Same here. I went to grocery store and almost didn't make it through the check out. I hit a wall of fatigue. I'm 7 weeks out. My disability insurance gave me 6 weeks. I teach, too. My first day is next Friday. I've been gradually getting up early. Monday ill start getting up at 5:30 ... My usual time. Oh, I teach 4 year olds so I will be tired at the end of bathe day!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
