this is an example of if you don't like something or agree with it - move on....pass it over....don't read it....but don't make snide remarks to the OP because your beliefs are different

Um....yes, snide remarks are bad....but differing opinions are always welcome and should not be discouraged.

If you want to keep it all "pro-god" I suggest you take it into the religious sub forum. Seems only fair.

She was not making it pro-God like you put it. She simply said she was thankful she was not preaching.

No disrespect intended with my previous comment or now....but the phrase "if you don't like something...move on" is basically saying "keep your differing opinion to yourself." We can all disagree politely and tactfully, and anyone can get as spiritual as they want to be....but I just don't like people trying to silence the opposing voices, that's my only complaint.

I am grateful that God has blessed doctors with the talent and expertise to help people like myself who need help to lead healthier lives. Some may feel differently, but there is a higher power at work in our lives whether we choose to believe it or not. Thankfully, sounds like you are feeling healthy, happy, free & grateful, which is an amazing thing!!!! :)

I'm not saying different points of view are bad but I also don't think an theist will convert a Christian via this forum or vice versa so move on. The comment I referred to wasn't about a different opinion it was a snide comment in reference to the OP. How is that productive???

And really, not fair to try to belittle someone when their coming to such a point of joy in their life! No one is trying to convert anyone here. We are all different people coming from different places with WLS in common. Let's Celebrate this person's huge success and not be sarcastic to someone who is here for support, not sarcasm. Really...

Amen! I also give God all the Glory! June 22nd was my one year anniversary and i am down 109 lbs. Surgery was made possibly by the Lord. My insurance didn't cover it and I didn't have the cash. God send me an angel with a check in hand to pay for my surgery...

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
