or almost! See, it is related to losing weight in that I bought a pant ( lost 2 sizes!) verra pretty ( sorry, I am reading this books with some scottish caracters and I canna help myself!) cream colour..... and managed to spill red nail varnish all over them!!! well, not all over, just the front of both legs.... ARGH!!!!!! ( all my other pants are big and baggie ) I deserved the sexy pants.....

the irony of it all is.... i bite my nails so I really didn't need to paint them!

Anybody knows if it can come off? dry cleaners? soaking in v. remover? I read somewhere a hot Iron and a wet towel would work but i thought that was for wax.....

I will appreciate suggestions

I'd stay away from the hot Iron since nail varnish is very flammable, but I don't know what to suggest unfortunately.

What book are you reading?

Hi Audrey and Cathy,

Thanx for your replies. Aud! Scotland huh? I feel so scottish these days. I dinna ken why. Just sounds so beautiful.... the place, the language, and the people I am sure.

Cathy, good point with the flamability.... my pants are flamable most likely aswell, so I wont do that....

about my reading.... I read the outlander series ( by Diana Gabaldon) 3 years ago when I was pregnant because my husband gave me the first book, Crosstitch, and I had to read it despite the fact that it is not what I would have chosen myself. Well, I got hooked on the story and went out to buy the rest of the series within a week. And enjoyed every minute of it! 3 years on I have been recomending the book to people so i decided to read it again before I continue saying thats what I like to read, because well, it was unusual. So... it is bit more romancy than I remembered but still the plot and characters have me hooked once more. A bit historical too.

With the pant, I ended up doing the only sensible thing.... sort of.... I bought another pair. My wallet hurts but my bum looks nice.... still very large, but nice :)

cheers

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
