My feet were fat. And now they're skinnier just like the rest of me. I've worn crocs so long... and now I love trying on strappy heels!

I wear Crocs & sneakers with orthodics (?) in them. I love my Crocs & have several pair in several diff colors. I have 2 pair of dressy shoes for weddings/funerals. That's about it. It's no fun dressing up at nearly 300 lbs so didn't care anymore. Once I lose a decent amount of weight, I'm going shoe shopping! Can't wait to wear strappy heels!

I've only lost 15 pounds but me shoes are already big. Can that be possible that soon after surgery. I know my feet are going to get smaller but soo soon?? Maybe I'm going to loose weight starting in my feet and then working up. Who knows :-)

Funny thing is this is one of the main things I look forward to after surgery! So many cute shoes my fat feet cannot fit!

I buy men's shoes because they're wider. I can't wait to get cute shoes. I might become a shoe-a-holic!!

I think they "shrink" in length because the arches revert back to their normal height ...which pulls the foot up in the middle...think of a piece of kleenex that you pick up from middle...sides pull in leaving less distance from front to rear.

This is exactly what happens, I have a friend who is a podiatrist and explained this to me. FYI he used the tissue example as well lol

I am 3 months out and 58 pounds down and have lost almost an entire shoe size. I also wore orthotics in my shoes the last 20 years and now find I don't need them anymore. Also to the person that asked earlier yes my feet were a size smaller when I was younger and skinnier so hoping to go back to that size again.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
