My doc doesn't require the pre op diet either, which I was wondering about seeing as everyone's posts I've been reading all say they did the pre op so it's comforting to see not everyone is required to do it. meli0304 5 Posted October 20, 2013 What has been the most difficult part of recovery thus far? The nausea lasted 2 days, dry heaving hurts! Since it stopped I am much better, doing fine with my fluids and Protein, just a lot more sore and tired than I expected. I am planning to go to work tomorrow (desk job), hoping I can hang in there. I guess I just expected to bounce back quicker (had the band before), but it's still quite painful.
