My favorite fast food option is Chick Fila. I get their 4 count and sometimes 6 count grilled nugget kids meal. I get a fruit cup with it and the diet lemonade. I always wait till I'm home and mix the lemonade with Water because it's so tart but it's yummy! I never finish the fruit cup. It's high in Protein, very low in carbs and low in calories. It's an excellent choice for a meal for anyone wanting to lose weight. I also get the grilled cool wrap which is wrapped in a flax seed wrap. I tear most of the wrap away and eat it. It's way more than I can eat in one setting and so good for you. I haven't stopped eating out because We are a busy family. I just make wiser choices! The sleeve is an awesome tool to lose weight but some look at it like a ball and chain!

Remember it won't taste 1/2 as good as it smells.

i had a mc donalds hamburger the other day. i ordered it naked-just bun, meat and cheese. i took off and threw out the top bun. took me 2 x to eat the burger. omg did it taste like heaven.

I like burgers with everything. I have been thinking of getting one of those little burgers and a side salad and putting the lettuce and Tomato on that little burger.

I get the retried Beans for dinner but not anything else so far. I am on west coast so I go to Carl's jr and get cheeseburger low carb men's no bun warped in lettuces. Don't eat that just the burger but only finish about 1/2 to 3/4 of it. I loved it. Don't really miss fries. Has been hard watching kids eat pizza! I love pizza but last night did have piece of sausage ! Loved it

When my family wants fast food I go down the street to this little Mexican restaurant and get a borito bowl with just meat and veggies. It tastes so much better than the fast food and is a lot healthier Plus it lasts me at least two meals. It is a bit pricier than their fast food but well worth it. I did try pizza while on vacation at 2.5 months out. I was able to eat a very small piece but it felt heavy in my belly and did not taste as good as it used to.

Im actually sitting in a Chinese restaurant playing pokker (Im out, waiting. Hubby) and smelling what can only be described as heaven. No one cares that I can't have anything but liquids (3 wks, 1 more of liquids). And I LUV Chinese food (and Mexican, Italian, Indian - well really any food is my fav!).

I live across the street from McD's. If I liked McD's Id be tortured on a daily basis. But I don't

Hang in there. And save ur calories for something good, not Taco Bell....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
