I'm down from 236 to 174. That puts me down 62. I'm very happy!!! I'm also concerned I haven't lost in a month possibly 2 months. I think I have made to many allowances. I'm nervous I stretched my stomach, is that possible ? I started to lose hair, no bald spots but my brush has a lot of hair feel like I'm shedding. I've been focusing on my Vitamins and feel the hair situation is getting better but not thick.

I don't think you've done anything to your stomach- you're saying you've been making too many "allowances". I would have to say that's your issue, probably. But get back on the wagon- you can do this! As for me, I am down 93 lbs since surgery and down 123 total. Been stalled for a couple weeks now. I have a hard time getting motivated to exercise and I also have been getting a little too "comfortable". Not really overeating, but not watching everything like I should. Back on the program this week and fasting 2 days (yesterday) and tomorrow. I just started a new job, so everything has been a bit of a challenge...how's everyone else?

What does fasting for two days do? What does that mean ? Not eating? I feel the same as you not over eating so much but not watching what I eat. I've heard that some people do a liquid diet for a week. What works for u?

I am down from 296 to 184 today! That is down 112 pounds!!I am very happy but I am starting to realize that if I get too comfortable then I don't loose as much! This past month I only lost 5 pounds! I am a teacher so starting school and work again is always stressful! I am thinking positively thought because I feel like what this past month was like is kid of what maintenance will look like and I didn't gain so that is good! Keep up all the hard work and as for the hair shedding I am having the same problem! I got a Biotin supplement and have been taking those! I have found that three a day is about what I need to slow the hair loss!!! I have super thick hair so I am ok for now but I worry that if I keep losing hair that will change! Paranoid about my hair!!!

I'm down 66 pounds post-op and 94 pounds in all, but I'm still considered obese! So, I have some work to do...to the tune of 60-80 more pounds to lose! My weight will then be normal to overweight... Anyway, I'm quite happy with my progress.????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
