Hi there - so I am 3 weeks post op from my gastric sleeve. I lost 15 pounds in the preop diet and another 15 the first week after surgery. I have not lost a pound since then. I am getting in between 60gram to 80grams of Protein a day. My calorie intake ranges from 500 to 700. I am drinking 60oz of fluids a day and am walking for an hour. Is this normal? I am getting frustrated. Some changes in my clothing size but nothing significant.

My numbers are about the same as yours. I'm three weeks post-op today and I'm STALLED also. Hope this ends soon.

Week three stall. Totally normal. Almost everyone of us gets it. Don't worry it will pass. You're body is rebalancing.

Yes it is perfectly normal. Stay positive, your body will adjust and the weight loss will start again. You might want to try tracking measurements, sometimes when the scale isn't moving you will notice changes in your sizes. Stay positive, stay on your plan and everything will be fine. Good Luck.

I'm experiencing it too! Though the past week I haven't lost but thus morning it is down 2-3lbs. So I'm hopping that this is the end of it. I wad told by my nut to not worry about calories just worry about Protein. Which I'm getting. But I know yesterday I did not meet my Water goals. It is frustrating. I am down roughly 35lbs from July 10th when I was sleeved. But I still fit into allot of my clothes. I'm compacting, as my husband says. I'm losing it from my shoulders up and my thighs down. Hopefully it ends soon and I can start dropping again.

Thank you everyone, just reading these posts has calmed me down. I am just going to keep at it and I know the weight will come off eventually.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
