HoustonTexanFan 6 Posted August 6, 2013 Well ladies had my first visit with dr Scarborough at tlc today, and a little excited now. Come to find out uhc does want 6 month weight loss supervised diet but it does not have to be consecutively! Yay! Also they diet with physician can go back 2 years, so I no I have 2 months covered for sure. I no have to do 4 months with dietitian a psych eval and a egd. I'm hoping to have surgery in December so I dnt have to meet my deductible all over again. Dr says we have pretty good chance as long as I do appointment with dietitian this month September October an November we can submit. VSG AJH 499 Posted August 11, 2013 I'm hoping to be a December sleever, too! I had my first appt. with the surgeon August 5th. My insurance (Cigna) requires a 3 month diet with the nutritionist. My first nutrition meeting and support group is on Tuesday. I've just done labs. I'll have to do a psych eval, physical therapy eval, and and EGD. My PCP also requires a physical to send a letter of recommendation for surgery, something else my insurance requires. It feels like a few hoops to jump through, but nothing insane. I'm also feeling excited! Good luck to you!!
CMWSleeved 10 Posted August 27, 2013 Hey guys, I also expect to be a December Sleever. Thankfully i am in good health just that i am obese. No high blood pressure, diabetes, liver or kidney issues. I had my physical on August 5th and everything was fine, my blood work came back fine as well. I do not have any of the indications for sleep apenia so neither my surgeon nor my PCP required me to be tested. My abdominal ultrasound came back fine. I had my first visit with the nutritionist on August 21st and i had my psych eval done on July 25th. Now all i have to do is complete my Vitamin and pre-op classes with the nutritionist and complete my monthly weigh-in with the PCP. My last weigh-in will be November 7th. I can't wait to get on the other side of this weight.
