rmma1000 6 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm one month post op. Is it okay to eat raw Ramen noodles?
SleevedJune62013 167 Posted August 6, 2013 No! They expand. Ask your surgeon's office to be certain. 1 TwinsMama reacted to this
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 6, 2013 Nope, everything I've read/been told was to avoid Pasta, rice, etc. for at least 6 or so months...better to avoid for life. As a side note, my nurse in the hospital told me about a guy who died after surgery. He had it done with another Dr (he was about 6 weeks out) and was told not to eat any pastas, rice, etc. Well he couldn't resist and had some. Messed up his stomach bad and they couldn't get it closed up in time. He died on the ER table. She was literally in tears telling me about how it hit her hard. TwinsMama 483 Posted August 6, 2013 Your tummy is still healing. Please don't have any more. I know it feels good to eat them, but that guy didn't realize it could kill him. The last thing you want is to get sick or worse from a few bites. Don't beat yourself up. Just keep on trucking and you'll do fine. 1 Dannipo reacted to this
