Katie80 7 Posted August 6, 2013 Does anyone else have gas? Not the fart or burp kind lol, but it seems like my stomach is rumbling. Almost like hunger pains, but way more painful! I've tried Gas-x strips but it doesn't work. I'm walking and being as active as possible too. Is anyone else experiencing this?
ElyQuint 446 Posted August 6, 2013 I do. Especially at night. The strips work in conjunction with a heating pad but nothing seems to eliminate it completely yet.

I used the hearing pad when the gas pain were in my shoulders and lower back, and it helped then.
ElyQuint 446 Posted August 6, 2013 9 days out. I put the heating pad under me cuz im paranoid about my incisions. It still happens especially if i sip to big. But it is less and less.
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 6, 2013 I did for weeks actually. I would say as long as you're walking, there really isn't much else you can do.
Torra135 4 Posted August 6, 2013 Im the same way my surgery was on the 30th and there for a few days I felt bloated and a lot of noise going on but nothing coming out of either end.
Richard Foor 655 Posted August 6, 2013 I had that for about 5 days post op, it does come from the build up of air in your stomach from surgery, walking and sitting upright helps to work it out faster. But the good news is it will go away before to long. Good Luck, enjoy the journey.
