Arts137 1,811 Posted August 6, 2013 Get a scale and you'll be set! 4 oz (generally think of a tuna fish can)... tuna, canned chicken, canned ham, hummas (lived on hummas). As you can cooked veggies... 1 No game reacted to this

notime 340 Posted August 6, 2013 I was told 1 to 2 oz a meal to start and about 3 oz after one month. Some of the foods I ate were: eggs fixed any way I wanted, steamed or poached seafood, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, tofu, unsweetened applesauce, mashed ripe banana and refried Beans with cheese. RoxFC 175 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm a little confused because my pureed stage includes the foods mentioned above: tuna, fish, cottage cheese, cheeses, eggs. I was told I could eat these without having to puree them. Any meat or chicken, of course, had to be pureed. My soft food stage includes almost any food as long as it can be easily chewed and swallowed. Of course, Protein first.
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 6, 2013 My surgeon's soft foods plan calls for 3 meals a day, no Snacks. The 3 meals can be a maximum of 3 ounces each. We are supposed to eat at each meal: 1. 3 ounces of high Protein food (meat, fish, soy, Beans, dairy, eggs) OR 2. 2 ounces of high protein food plus 1 ounce of soft, non-starchy veggies or soft fruit.< /p> No starchy veggies, grain-based foods, non-nutritive foods (sugar free pudding for example), or sweets are allowed. No Soup is allowed. All foods are supposed to be weighed with a digital scale to make sure we are getting the right amount of food.
