sadfat1962 11 Posted August 6, 2013 I was sleeved July 22nd in Tijuana with Dr. Almanza. Couldn't ask for a better experience, despite my rough first night after surgery. The nurses are unbelievable!! My friend and I that were both sleeved that day were skeptical with the whole Mexico surgery idea, but so happy we decided to go with it! If you have any questions, feel free to message me!
meemee 2 Posted August 6, 2013 How's your weight loss going ? Glad it was a good experience. Yay
sadfat1962 11 Posted August 6, 2013 at my weigh in the day I started the 5 day pre-op liquid diet, I was 237, as of this morning, I weighed in at 211.5. so a loss of 25.5 since July 22nd!! I had no expectations, so I am very happy with the loss so far. I won't lie... the first 2 weeks were very difficult for me, emotionally.... plus, I don't think I can ever stomach broth again! I do have a difficult time with the Protein Shakes, but now that I have started the soft food phase, I'm hoping to get in more Protein. I am very lucky that I can drink regular water- a lot of people have said that drinking Water after surgery is painful. It was at first, but I was determined to drink, so now I can without any pain. If you are going to Tijuana by yourself, no worries, because you will won't be alone! Bonus is you will leave with probably a new friend or two.. everyone sticks together 1 Melixxa reacted to this
