insurance How can I get Blue Cross to cover it?

I called my insurance today and they said skin removal can be covered it it's deemed medically necessary. Anyone else like that? How the heck do I make it medically necessary to get my stomach skin removed? I've lost 115lbs

what laura said. you probably need your surgeon to write up documentation stating that its causing problems. then its medically necessary.

If you go to the insurance's website, do a search for "criteria for a panniculectomy", this will tell you exactly what they consider medically necessary.
