Usually they request that you don't for two reasons, nutrition concerns, and meeting and maintaining goal. I am pregnant 12 weeks and almost 9 months out. I miss my energy and feeling sexy. But so far so good. As much as I'd prefer to have waited, it happens don't stress my obgyn knew I had this surgery and is taking precautions and helping me. He was very knowledgeable and experienced with these pregnancies. So just make sure whatever obgyn had those qualifications to be able to handle your case and make sure your care is top notch. Good luck. And is a blessing ;) PS this is the first pregnancy I've had without fertility treatments!

Thank you so much for your reply.. Congrats on your pregnancy!! it is a blessing :) I'm going to see my gyn sometime next week for sure... I got sleeved on 2/4 I'm honestly sooooooo scared... I have a 6yr daughter that begs me everyday for a sister :) it was so hard to have her she is my miracle baby... Haven't been prego since!! I have a whole in one of my Fallopian tubes & it makes it very difficult for me to carry a baby.... So like I said before I'm super happy but scared becuz it's so soon after my surgery... I'm 18lbs away from my goal but at this moment in life who cares!!! :) I leave it in gods hands he knows best.... Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
