kim2002 140 Posted August 5, 2013 I was wondering if you could take ibuprofen post-op? My weight loss center said I could take it!! I know GB patients can't, but was just wondering about other people!?! Kim Surgery 8/8/
NoneYa 380 Posted August 5, 2013 No, I have just spent the afternoon at the dentist with a terrible toothache. It will be 2 weeks before they can get me in because its a surgical extraction. I phoned the Surgeon and asked. He said nothing but tylenol. No Nsaids-antiinflammatories (sp) and no steriods. I'm in pan and not happy.
PGee 318 Posted August 5, 2013 I think it all depends upon your doctor.....mine does not want his patients on it.
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted August 5, 2013 Agree that it just depends on what your doctor says. My doctor allows it, but does not recommend taking any until after month 6, when the primary window of risk is over. And that is what I did. I would rather live life without pain then be in pain, one day at a time. That is my philosophy. Enjoy life while you have it.
