Thanks for all the replies !! I think I may start with the Slim in Six.

I loved slim in 6. I just had my gallbladder out and it will be my transition back into working out again!

OK - I must confess - I think I have bitten off a little more than I can chew with T25! Not sure the workouts are for rookies like me! Yes, there are modifiers for beginners, but one big thing in T25 is FORM. Shaun T. keeps telling you to do things like "tighten your core" - "focus on the movement" but what does that mean exactly? I had to finally Google what it meant to "tighten your core" because I just wasn't getting it. And I know I am not doing some of the burpee type exercises right because my wrist is killing me. Perhaps I am too old for this? I don't know. Love the calorie burn, but all the jumping is not helping my knee. I think it would be great for someone who is a little younger and maybe doesn't have so much weight yet to lose? Think I am going to have to step back to what was working for me this summer....need a little more instruction vs. 'just do it'...lol....

You can do it! Good habits take 21 days to form and your body needs to adjust to the new form of "fun." Give yourself some leniency and know that all this hard work is going to pay off in many ways, not all of them physical.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
