TwinsMama 483 Posted August 5, 2013 wasting a lot of food, disinterested in food, extremely active where it starts to affect multiple relationships, you might lose some old friends and gain some new ones, body odor, fatigue Yes yes yes! You hit the nail on the head with the disinterest in food. It is really hard to stay motivated when you hate to eat. I'm almost scared sometimes due to my inability to know what will throw me into a violent vomit fest.
notime 340 Posted August 5, 2013 1. Cost of exercise: gym or recreation center, personal trainer, workout clothes/shoes, workout equipment. Of course, you can get around these by seeking out relatively cheap gear and workout options. 2. Lack of attention to exercise component of the program. Molly3 495 Posted August 5, 2013 being diagnosed with some other life threatening disease/disorder brought to light because of so many pre-op tests or because of becoming accutely self-aware of how your body is functioning (mine is cancer, and because of the latter reason). (((Spatters)))- I can definitely relate to your post, I am so very sorry! 1 DonRodolfo reacted to this
thinathart 197 Posted August 5, 2013 Possible plastic surgery to remove excess skin. For me, the confidence I've gained since I lost weight has been so worth it. I'd take the risk all over again to be where I am at today. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
SleevedJune62013 167 Posted August 5, 2013 I second the sharts! Directly out of surgery you're begging to fart & Can't trust a fart the first couple of weeks. I ended up with almost pneumonia right after surgery as well. I was a smoker prior to surgery though. Was down to 2-3 cigs a day but I still paid dearly for it. Fever & coughing so bad I was peeing myself. Doesn't feel good to cough with a tender tummy.

DeniseM 238 Posted August 6, 2013 I also wanted to add the risk of needing your gallbladder removed- I am going tomorrow morning for an ultrasound because my doctor thinks I might have gallstones due to my rapid weight loss. 1 DonRodolfo reacted to this
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 6, 2013 Apologies in advance if anyone has covered this already, but expect tummy rumbles. I'm almost 10 weeks out and manuu times my tummy is my own personal symphony! No pain or discomfort, just noise. So very true. I had to get used to that. I was embarassed when I was in a meeting and there was a pause and my tummy made noises. I sooo wanted to fall through the floor. Good thing the guy next to me said he was so hungry...everyone assumed it was him. I think he was just being kind (new guy on the team). Bless his heart! 4 DonRodolfo, Greeknugget, kwigillingok and 1 other reacted to this
DonRodolfo 1,416 Posted August 6, 2013 I also wanted to add the risk of needing your gallbladder removed- I am going tomorrow morning for an ultrasound because my doctor thinks I might have gallstones due to my rapid weight loss. I am on Ursodiol for 4 months to prevent this. I imagine some people do the same but may still need their gallbladder removed. 1 TwinsMama reacted to this
Greeknugget 56 Posted August 6, 2013 I'm glad to hear about the tummy noises. I had the same thing when I was on a liquid diet for 3 months! Our stomachs can be really loud!
