Whats the best Vitamins? Help please

Recommended Posts

Ok let me start by saying the Vitamins I take now taste horrible and I can't tolerate it anymore.

I take Centrum chewable/ orange taste-it taste horrible

Also bariatric support Calcium wafers- the taste Is worse.

Now I take it twice a day. The bariatric support is two big chewable that is chalky. I don't understand why they can't make it more taste able. Ugg please if anyone recommend what's a good product so I can try it.

Also, the doctor recommends the brand centrum and I only see they have orange flavor so I don't know if they have any other flavor out there. If anytime knows any if please let me know thank you.

Got these at Walmart. I chose the gummies because I wanted to "wrestle a bear". Kidding of course, gummies don't have any Iron in them but that bottle is at home. It's chewable & 27 grams of delicious. I'll take a photo when I get home if you'd like. Got them at the Vitamin Shoppe.< /p>

Just bought some Bariatric Support from TwinLab at the Vitamin Shoppe the other day. They taste actually pretty good. Better than the kids Vitamins I bought at Walmart. Don't have that "vitaminy" taste (I think that the Vit B in them). 60 of em for $12.00. Not too bad for 2 mths worth.

Afraid to try gummies. Afraid to try the calcium chews also. The guy said they chewed like tootsie rolls. Don't think my tummy would appreciate tootsie rolls right now...thought they would knock out my sweet tooth and give me Calcium at the same time...

I take Wellesse liquids Vitamins - the Multi-Vitamin, Calcium, and Iron ones. I think they all taste fine but you can dilute them with Water, juice, gatorade etc. if the taste bothers you.

Loved these pre-op but I couldn't do the wellesse post-op except the B Vitamins. That is yummy. Tastes like juice.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
