Faith41 118 Posted August 4, 2013 Ok ladies I've been fat since the age of 5 I'm almost close to goal 30 pounds more to lose well I want a new look, new hair style, learn how to put on makeup, eyebrows done, fake eyelashes that last about a month without refills, new clothes I don't even know how to clothes shop so basically I want to become a different person. Where do I start, where do I shop for someone who's a young 41 but feels 30, can anyone tell me where I can go in the state of Washington or Portland area who specializes in this transformation. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this

xsammy 27 Posted August 5, 2013 Sephora would be great for a makeover too--they have tons of product lines there so you're not confined to just one. I've started pinning outfits I like on Pinterest to refer back to--I have clothes in my closet that will fit me for the first 55 lbs lost, and will try to control my shopping until I get close to goal. Try anyway Good luck to you!!
gamergirl 4,610 Posted August 6, 2013 I went to Nordstroms for a makeover with the bobbi brown folks. I also tried Laura merrier, Clinique, went to Dillards, etc and got a whole, new face-look right after I had recovered from a serious illness. I found the Nordstroms ladies to be the best makeup artists irrespective of line of cosmetics. Even if you don't buy all expensive makeup, it does help to see what colors they use, what they do with shades, etc.
cindymg 629 Posted August 7, 2013 I have been DVRing "What Not to Wear" and watching it at night. You could have applied for the show, but they have filmed the last shows which by the way start this Friday. If you can get past the comedic bits, they do offer good advice about how to dress modern for your body type. Also, Nordstrom's sales people love to help. Just find one who cares, tell her your story and they will be happy to advise you. Trust me, I shop there a lot and have seen them fully dress people who have trouble on their own. They don't work on commission, but there is some kind of bonus/recognition for them, so I think they care more than sales people in other stores. Have fun! Clothes shopping is my favorite thing (well, next to my shoe addiction).
