Mandy4580 0 Posted August 4, 2013 I see a lot of you use my fitness pal to help track. I'm new to that app and I know how to keep the food diary but I see a lot of people comment about how it helps them with carb counting and Protein counting. How??? The only thing I see it counting is calories which is great but I would much rather it figure out my Proteins and stuff.
MIJourney 490 Posted August 4, 2013 I'm not a good one to explain it but when you search for a food it gives you several options. It will show you the nutritional info on each option when you click on it so you can find the one that best matches what you're eating. After you add an item to your diary it will keep it in a list for you so you don't have to search each time. Then if you look at your food diary or summary it shows the amounts of carbs, Protein, etc.. along with calories.
kimberlyu 12 Posted August 4, 2013 Click on DAILY tab and it brings up your daily count of everything. . It took me trying every button to figure it out. Good luck! KimberlyU sleeved 7/24/13 1 court2180 reacted to this
SueJH 205 Posted August 4, 2013 On the home tab, choose the subtab for settings. From there choose "diary settings". Here you can choose what you want to track - sugar, carbs, Protein, etc.
jjh 3 Posted August 4, 2013 How do you guys track when you take two to three bites of something? I don't find it hard to track when it is a yogurt or something like that but find it challenging when I have two bites of chicken salad from a grocery store for instance. Any suggestions would be great!!
SueJH 205 Posted August 4, 2013 I had about 2T of mashed potatoes today. In MyFitnessPal I put the 1/2 c serving on the right hand side and on the left put .25 of a serving.
