Migrane and vision blurred

Recommended Posts

I am three and half weeks post op now. This morning I woke up with throbbing head pain and blurred vision. I am possibly contributing it too dehydration . I am logging maybe 650 calories a day. Is there anyone else that has similar issues? Any support or help would be appreciated

I've suffered from severe Migraines all my life and not eating enough during the day has always been one of my triggers. (So naturally, I was concerned how the low calorie intake post-op would affect this.) In fact, the pain meds in the hospital triggered a bad Migraine, causing me to stay an extra day due to not being able to keep anything down. A week or so post-op, I started waking up with the beginning of a migraine almost every morning. In the hospital I was prescribed Imitrex, which my Dr. said was safe for my healing stomach. (My saving grace has always been Treximet, but it has NSAIDs - my Dr. has since approved it's occasional use)

Slowly, as my body got used to the reduced calories, the migraines started going away. (It's amazing what your body can get used to) Definitely get your Water in, as dehydration can also be a trigger. I guess my advice is - I've been there, and it gets better!

Had horrible Migraine headache started 7 months before surgery. I was eventually put on imitrex Now, after surgery 5 months out I've had only 1 that I had to take medicine for. That day

Was bad because I had to work.

Gratefully, I have not had any more compared to

Having them all the time.

Found out dehydration caused most of them

When I had my first one my potassium was down and I got an Iv in the hospital.

Hope u feel better!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
