How far out are you? Is it right after you eat something? If so, it could be what is referred to as the slimes. Happens when we tend to over eat, usually causes me to throw up after the slimes start.

Thank you for giving me a name for what I have been suffering from for the last 3 weeks. I am so sick of the slime and vomiting that I don't even want to eat or drink. I am so worried about getting fluids and Protein, but I dread the slime and vomit. So I just need to keep trying?

I has this problem a lot at first both the nausea and the slime, ugh. I just really had to ease into fluids and the other stages. My doc prescribed a anti nausea med for me that helped a lot as well. I still tend to slime really easily some days and I four months out but it's getting better bit by bit.

Is this normal?? Makes me gag and throw up

I'm not having the slimes, what is happening to me is I feel like there is liquid in my throat and it isn't going down, I feel bloated and so full I only got in 28oz of Fluid today, the Protein shakes are hard for me to get down right now. I don't know what to do I know that I need my Protein in, I just don't know what to do, please help if you have anything that has worked for you.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
