I'm six weeks post op and I think I can eat too much already. I'm scared I'm ruining my new stomach

When I was 6 weeks out I could eat 3-4 oz of most things...that really hasn't changed much (3 mos po), I'm probably 4-5 oz now

You didn't share why you think you are taking in too much, so I'm not sure if maybe it is because you are still on soft foods and not feeling the restriction, but I would suggest that you measure your portion and only give yourself 4oz of food....don't serve up a larger portion and figure that you will just eat until full

Oh, and really work on eating slowly...put fork down between bites, take smaller bites, set a timer, if necessary, for 15 or 20 minutes and work to not be done until timer goes off.

I am 19 weeks out and can just now eat 4-6 oz of yogurt with a little granola in it for crunch. lunch today, half a hamburger patty and 1 1/2 ish cups salad loaded with cheese, eggs, lite dressing. dinner last night, half a piece of fish and a few pieces grilled Tomato. Breakfast today, one scrambled egg with turkey sausage and grated cheese in it. Hope that helps. I know at first I could not finish a whole container of yogurt or pudding.< /p>

I am on a normal diet already and I can eat about 5 ounces of food depending on what it is. I can take very large drinks of Water no problem. I'm thinking he didn't make my stomach that small or something. I can definitely eat a thing of yogurt no problem

I can put away 4-6 oz. of yogurt without any problems, and I can do 3 oz. of fish or something like chicken salad, but anything more solid or dense like a grilled piece of chicken, beef or pork I am lucky if I can do 2 oz at a time. I have no issues with liquids and can drink mostly normally (other than stopping a moment every 5 swallows or so).

I'm one month out from surgery, now on normal foods and can pretty much eat what I like. I do have to be a bit careful with eggs for some reason, though!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
