Butter, if you go NorCal you have to avoid this place. It's my Krypton. Best icing EVER.

That's part of why I like Portland....I may have to live "car free."

I think the funniest thing is when they first started coming out a few rich people thought they were so special driving their 100,000 dollar car..

Now EVERYONE has one.. :P it's like a Honda around here... Not so special anymore :D

But really there are so many Awesome things about living here that you overlook the status symbol types..

OK, you two are bad (Laura-Ven and zenandnow) and now I'm gonna jump in. I saw a woman this morning whose lips looked like she kissed a blowfish. Went great with that elfin eye look you get from pulling the skin too tight behind the ears.

Butter: We also have great farmers markets. There is one almost every day somewhere in the valley during the summer. The one in Mt. View is the best I've been to.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I would have spent that money on Lipo, not some stupid car!! Besides, I'm one of the LG poor, I don't have enough disposable income to drive my Tesla around with my duck lips & elfin eyes!

There is one lady down the street that doesn't even look human anymore I stare at her and try and figure out if she used to be pretty because she looks alien now.. Like the chicks on real housewives of the O.C.

It's suprising Seattle is on the list since 9-10 months out of the year is raining so I avoided getting wet and doing things like parking close to a building of driving places in stead of walking. Of course the summer if a different story. But if you think about if Seattle for the most part is every green and health conscious but I'd say I only noticed that within the last ten years.

Seattle didn't fail me in terms of my weight issues I failed it. Like I remember my high school and middle school were within walking distant so I didn't have a bus but I almost always found rides instead of walking the 1-2miles home.

I'm surprised Manhattan NY isn't on the list that was non stop walking there!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
