The fittest city

It's suprising Seattle is on the list since 9-10 months out of the year is raining so I avoided getting wet and doing things like parking close to a building of driving places in stead of walking. Of course the summer if a different story. But if you think about if Seattle for the most part is every green and health conscious but I'd say I only noticed that within the last ten years.

Seattle didn't fail me in terms of my weight issues I failed it. Like I remember my high school and middle school were within walking distant so I didn't have a bus but I almost always found rides instead of walking the 1-2miles home.

I'm surprised Manhattan NY isn't on the list that was non stop walking there!

McDonalds on every corner in Manhattan? Didn't super size me get filmed there?

Fiddle, I'm liking this list since I live in San Jose but my heart is in Seattle. If I ever convince my hubby to move, I'll still be on the list!!

Seattle is a very nice place to live because of close access to Water and mountains. If only the mayor of Seattle would take traffic seriously and upgrade our freeways to support increased traffic instead of chasing pet tunnel projects.

LSereno, does that count?

No. No one could pooch their lips out that far without help.

What on earth is a pet tunnel?!?

Not literally a "pet" tunnel. :) I mean a pet project: the people voted against the new tunnel, but the mayor wanted it built anyways, which I am sure is many billions of taxpayer dollars. Meanwhile, most of the freeways are impossible to drive on during rush hour without sitting in a parking lot. However, as bad as the traffic is here, I am sure it pales in comparison to traffic in the bay area.

LOL! Wow, ditzy moment there! And I actually KNEW about the tunnel, too!

Hopefully I'm not losing brain cells along with fat cells!

Until' date=' of course, you hit Seattle where I tipped the scales at 360 in my pre-VSG days. Maybe I was an anomaly in Seattle. Others certainly made me feel like one. Life is completely different for the better now as a fit and thin individual.[/quote']

Who would ever guess?? You look amazing!

I'm new to the site and don't know your story, but it's people like you who give me hope that I can turn this around for good.
