jjh 3 Posted August 2, 2013 I am having a really hard time finding something that I like to drink. Water hurts my stomach and artificial sweeteners make me nauseous. I drink a small regular Gatorade in the mornings but have hard time getting more fluids in. Any suggestions?
TwinsMama 483 Posted August 2, 2013 This was my world until I found MiO. I could not get Water (which I loved pre-op) down. Crystal Light is wayyy too sweet post-op. So I add a drop of MiO and keep adding until I find a spot that is not sweet but masks the taste of Water.< /p> Maybe try that. Also you can try infusing your water with fruits. I've seen some people have good success with that. You can find that on the internet as it is the rage right now. Good luck to you.
jjh 3 Posted August 2, 2013 Thanks so much! I will try both and see if either work.
newat52 1,613 Posted August 2, 2013 I make cucumber Water. I slice a cucumber and heat 2 cups of Water in the microwave for 2 minutes and dump in a 2 quart container with the water. Let it sit for about 10 minutes or so then add ice and fill the rest of the way. I drink one of them per day. It's just something different with water. Lots of spas have it for the clients. You could do any fruit as well, like pineapple, melons and such. I love it in the summer! 2 Lulu5 and TwinsMama reacted to this
Bufflehead 6,358 Posted August 2, 2013 I drank a lot of skim milk, kefir, low sodium V-8, hot tea with a little unsweetened vanilla almond milk, broth, and diluted cranberry juice the first couple of weeks after surgery.
