claraluz 2 Posted August 17, 2004 Denise, You may know this already, but the scars can be treated either with injections or with laser. I keiloid, too, and I have had several done with various results. One has all but disappeared. The worst one is much, much better. More like a normal scar - pink, but not raised and shiny. I went to a dermatologist to have mine treated.

claraluz 2 Posted August 19, 2004 A keloid is an overgrown scar. They are usually dark in color (dark pink or red) and raised and shiny. Nancy

DeniseG 3 Posted August 20, 2004 I thought about having dermabrasion (sp) done on them, but, I don't know if it is effective on keloid scars. I guess for some people they aren't a big deal but, I have very fair skin and it is very visible. All of my scars turned to keloid except one, and that one is the tinyist scar anyway. I have tried over the counter creams and ointments with no difference. Other then being very visible, the main problem I have with mine is I am very heavy chested and my bra lays right on top of one of them so, it has a tendency to hurt all the time. Sorry for being such a poo poo at the party lol Denise
faithstep 0 Posted May 24, 2008 Hello, My name is Faith and I was banded in 2004. I too have had all the same complications as you and currently unfilled. Being completely unfilled I still vomit, PB, reflux. Still can only keep very soft foods down. Told I need the band out - had endoscopy and doc said I swell almost completely shut. Am thinking of sleeve but think I may have same problems. What are your thoughts?
