A CONFESSION

I have lost my motivation...It want kaput. I am waiting to get a proper fill (I have only had one) and actually know what restriction is and in the meantime, I haven't kept to the banster rules. Now granted, I eat a little less than pre band but still not like I should. Today I had an egg mcmuffin for Breakfast, 1 1/2 oatmeal Cookies, whopper jr. with cheese and small ff and a piece of cake.

When I used to eat breakfast at McD's before it was egg mcmuffin, hash browns, breakfast burrito and a coke. or at BurgerKing it was a full size whopper lg ff and coke. But that just sounds like I am trying to justify, which I am not.

I go for a fill a week from today, I sure hope I get some restriction then. I have been drinking with some of my meals and not chewing well, I need to get prepared for when I do have restriction.

So anyway, I felt the need to confess my sins and start over.

I remember being upset and depressed after my first fill thinking that I was going to have all kinds of wonderful restriction with it..Trust me, after a couple more you wont be able to do all that stuff at mcdonalds or burger king without getting sick or it taking you 2 hrs to chew it down...Now its just a mental thing for me...I have gotten sick enough trying to eat what wasnt right for me until my mind now tells me that there is no way that i want to go thru that again and it just dont look the same anymore...Give it a chance and be happy for what you have accomplished thus far...I am on fill 4 and just now feeling that I am at the right restriction for me...Its all a learning process and I know you can do it

Josette: Thanks for information. I have Leslie's walking videos they are great. You can add small 2 pound weights to make the work out tougher. It's good to spice up our routines a little bit!

Tuesday:

45 minutes on the elliptical machine

Breakfast: yogurt with a little bit of grape nuts, banana

Lunch: 1/3 of a Smart One frozen dinner, yogurt (I just had a fill the day before)

Snack: orange

Dinner: KC Strip (about 6 oz.), fresh mozzarella, skim milk

I drank more than my fair share of Water, and have been trying to drink green tea throughout the day.

Wednesday:

Breakfast: Muscle Milk Protein Shake

Lunch: 4 small meatballs, Cheetos, cherry coke

Dinner: some type of Protein, salad, yogurt with grape nuts for dessert

Lots of water. I'm not sure if I'll get to work out or not. A good friend's divorce is final today, and he is depressed. My exercise will be in giving lots of hugs!

My next mini-goal is to lose 8 pounds in February!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
