Turner I have been dealing with head hunger for a long time, really since my last fill in Sept'06. I'm riding my sweet spot so MOST of the time I AM NOT HUNGRY, but I just want to eat something. Like today I've just been drinking my sf Water because first of all I need the fluids and 2nd it helps with the head hunger. Now sometimes I give in and I'll eat some raw veggies, nice and crunchie. Pork rinds, pepperoni chips, melted cheese, jalapano peppers (yes I can eat them all by themselves) pickles, sf Jello with cool whip, salted plantain chips, and other low carb foods, gotta go

Thanks everyone. This week I have lost 3 pounds. I hope that the plateau has ended. I will be gone for all of next week. We are going to Costa Rica to visit my cousin. Should be fun.

Happy Tuesday to everyone! Work has been crazy and then my long weekend was jam packed with housework as well as fun things so I haven't been online for a while. Everyone is doing great! I love to come online and see those numbers dropping! Keep it up!

I am currently enjoying twoterville very much and never plan to see 300 on a scale again!! I go to the doc on Friday and I hope to get a small fill. I have lost enough since my last fill that I am finding I can eat more than I want to so I decided instead of doing it all on my own, I will ask for a fill. I am very excited to get on the scale for him. Seems so odd, doesn't it? I have never been excited to get on the scale before but I can't wait to show him that not only have I went from the 400's to the 300's since November but I have now joined the 200's!

I hope the rest of the month continues to go great for everyone! Since Memorial Day is gone, should we set a new goal? I know some have July 4th goals; should we all set one?

I know I need to set a new goal - I have been eating too much and need to go in for a fill. I'm setting my goal to be at 60 pounds gone by July 4th. I'm at 43.5 now so my new goal will be 17 pounds by July 4th.

KAREY :lost3lbs::youcandothis:We are going to think postive and believe that that plateau is all gone. I know you are having a great time in Costa Rica!!:Banane41::ip::humble::fish2::cocktail:

AMY 17lbs is a good number to go for, it's steep so that means no slacking off, but I know you will make it:cheer2::confused::)

DENISE you are just doing soo great:success1::scales:You are having all kinds of successes. It is sooo amazing to be in the 200's isn't it. I haven't been in the 200's that long, and now I'm only 37 pounds from 199! You are fast on my tracks, I'm soo happy for you. Us once 400 hundred pounders have to stick together:huggie:

TURNER I've been meaning to tell you this for a while, but sometimes it slips my mind....I just love the way you use the smilies, I know it takes extra effort to find just the right one. Your posts put a smile on my face:thankyou:I love smilies too:DI'm glad you had a good time at your party:cocktail::humble::party::ip:I went to 2 BBQ's and I ate FIVE pieces of corn on the cob between the 2 parties:hungry:I didn't eat put one bite of meat, I wanted to save room for the corn:heh:

4th JULY CHALLENGE--well it looks like 17 pounds is the magic number:biggrin1: (You can set whatever goal you want)I'm already in a July 4th challenge with the Twoterville group, but I will still join my main group. I have only 4 pounds to go for that challege so I will go for another 17 with you guys. I was wondering if we could/or I could make up a chart like we do for that group and we check in weekly to change our stats. So I guess we can start tomorrow JUNE 1, LET THE RACE BEGIN:director::car:

You can fill in your weights if you like. Denise I went ahead and put you down for 17 pounds too, I know you can do it:D. To add your numbers just copy and paste in your new thread. Or you can just quote it and delete the wordings that the person wrote, but not the chart and just add your numbers.

What a fantastic idea!!! 17 pounds is definitely doable! I am on board! As soon as TOM leaves (and I get my fill tomorrow), I should be back on track.

What do you think of a column for our current weight? I added it but feel free to delete it. After previewing my post, I noticed it deleted the spaces in the heading so I added periods to keep it all in line.

Tann--I have been kinda going through a stall right now. I have taken a break from m/e and am now trying to decide what I want to do. What are you currently doing? Whatever it is, it works great for you. I know at one time you talked about drinking Water in the mornings, then lunch and a lot of times a Protein Shake for supper. Am I remembering correctly? I am looking for new ideas cause I gotta get back on track.

Denise.....Yes I'm still doing that, it gets boring sometimes but I'm rewarded by the scale. I did eat too many carbs during the holiday weekend and went up 2 pounds but they are gone now with just getting back on program on Tuesday. I'm drinking my Water now, I will do a lite green salad for lunch with cheese and Protein Shake for dinner or more of the salad, it just depends on how I feel.

I had steamed broccoli w/butter for dinner last nite:hungry:I have some leftovers so I could have more of that if I don't want the salad or shake.< /span>

I've also been doing more walking, will do a 3mile walk this evening. I haven't been in the mood to eat meat lately.:rolleyes:I really hope you come out of your stall very soon probably after TOM leaves you.;)

Thanks! ;) I appreciate it! I don't really know what I want to do at this point. I thought about starting m/e again but am not really that excited about it. :cry LC might be the way to go for a while. I need to give it some thought. Ugh! I am ready to see the scale moving down again.

Yes Tann, please share!! I got my band in April and all this is kind of new for me. I'm going in on Tuesday for my second fill. The first didn't seem to help. I can guzzle water and eat a meal with no problem I just eat less.

If you can share how I can loose 17# by July 4th I'll join in too! I'm already walking 3 miles a day and at least 5x's a week.

OMG, I disappear for a week or 2 and feel like I am back here with alot of strangers...Look at those losses for yall...I am so proud of each and every one...Geez...

Well, I have been just basically staying even, then gain a couple pounds then end up spending the rest of the week getting rid of the gain...But then again with the 2 jobs now I havent had time to work out or really worry about what I eat...But I am hoping that things will get back to normal here shortly and I can start losing again...

Just 21 more days till my bandversary and in the beginning of this journey I was hoping to be totally done by the end of the first year but things never go as we plan, so so what if its going to take me about a year and a half...I will deal with it and am very happy with what I have done in a year...I wouldnt trade it for the world

I better get going and get busy...I just wanted to check in with yall and let yall know that I am still mentally with yall every day...lol...Keep up the great work

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
